What are Out Patient Therapy Services?

Out Patient Therapy Services provide individuals with services focusing on improving emotional, mental and or social functioning. Services can be provided on a one on one basis or in a group setting with your mental health professional. Services can also be prearranged or provided to individuals in crisis situations.

Who can benefit from Out Patient Therapy Services?

Any individual with a mental illness or developmental disability may be eligible for Clinic Services. Priority in provision of services is given to individuals with the most severe need and to those in urgent or emergent situations.

How do Out Patient Therapy Services help an individual?

A mental health professional supports individuals in more fully participating in their community. A person centered treatment approach is used to help identify an individual’s strengths, dreams, goals and desires. Individuals are provided with a confidential environment to share feelings and experiences with their mental health professional. A group setting also offers more opportunity for peer interaction with those who have similar issues. Individuals re encouraged to maximize their independence, and improve and maintain life skills.
