Medication Assisted Treatment

MAT is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies for the treatment of opioid addiction. The goal of medication assisted treatment is to recover from addiction. It does NOT replace one addictive drug with another. It provides a safe, controlled level of medication to overcome the use of a problem Opioid.

WIC Clinic at GIHN

The Mid-Michigan District Health Department has announced that their Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clinic will be returning to the Gratiot Integrated Health Network. Starting this month, services will be available on the third Thursday and Friday of every month. This move is aimed at making WIC services more accessible to families in the area. The clinic will offer nutritional education, breastfeeding support, and healthy food vouchers to eligible participants. Families are encouraged to schedule appointments ahead of time to ensure availability.
